You don’t need internet access to send BTC!

As title says, even places on earth with no internet access can participate in Bitcoin blockchain! There’s the thing called Blockstream Satellite network that broadcasts the Bitcoin blockchain around the world 24/7 for free! It basically provides areas without reliable internet connections with the opportunity to use Bitcoin.
How does it work?
According to whats is published on their site: “Blockstream Satellite broadcasts the Bitcoin blockchain to the entire planet via satellite. Their ground stations called ‘teleports,’ participate in the Bitcoin network and transmit blocks to geosynchronous satellites. The satellites are orbiting at an altitude of 35km, they receive the signal from the Blockstream Satellite teleports and broadcast it across the Earth.”
To receive the signal u need satellite antenna and an USB receiver, so it requires initial investment. With this tools u can receive blocks and participate in BTC blockchain via satelites.
U can find coverage map on their site. It doesn’t cover whole planet, but most of it. By clicking on particular point of this map u can get information about settings of ur satellite dish that have to be meet to receive the signal.
It is very interesting solution that i personally learned of recently. It is amazing imo, especially that i associated BTC with internet as an iconic duo. It turns out that u can participate in BTC blockchain without internet access. Isn’t it amazing?
