You have probably heard of ENS domain names and wondered why would I waste my hard earned crypto on one of those.

I can just copy and paste my address. that’s a lot of extra steps when you can simply type in an easy to remember name I don’t want people being able to track my purchases or account totals How else are you going to show off and show other people you are better than them? They cost a yearly fee and I have to keep renewing it, I’ll just get a unstoppable domain name for a one time fee you could but all the cool kids have .eth not .nft or .crypto and you want to be cool right?

Someone can take your name then you will be stuck paying a premium for it in the future
you can’t mint the same name twice, so if somebody grabs your first you will be forced to go with a different name or pay up to buy it on OpenSea. Amazon made this mistake and ended up spending one million dollars on a domain name that could have cost them $100.
These ENS names are like the first email accounts created, if you were late to the party you had to start adding number like an idiot and would end up with a name like amazon3141.eth and nobody wants those numbers in their name.
Poor amazon had to pay $1,000,000.00

It’s easier to ask for crypto if you have an ENS domain name.
Imagine you are holding a sign on the side of the road asking for a little bit of eth to help you buy some ramen, only the cars are going so fast that nobody has time to see you wallet address. ENS domain names save the day, they are not only easy to remember but you can make it short enough to bit on a piece of cardboard and be visible from far away.
