Amazon Fire Tablet Photo Booth;

The Fire Tablet is a great piece of hardware for $49.99. It has a 7 inch touch screen, features a UI built off of Android, and has many features that are useful to the photo booth world. It’s a lot of tablet for that price, and it’s well worth it. It can also be used in 2 different ways, so that’s why it’s first and included. I would call this the LAZIEST build, but it’s actually not, only because you need to hack the OS.

It’s not that hard, and to begin, I don’t advocate breaking your tablet, legal advice, etc.

Now for the adventurous, it’s merely a matter of download a few files, and then you have access to the android play store. This allows for extra software, and makes the difference because now you can use the tablet for a medium level build, as well as cheap build. Let’s start with the cheap build.

Since we can’t specifically advocate hacking or telling you how to get the play store on your Amazon fire tab, look it up for yourself. It’s not hard and we’ll wait for you to do so. Once you do, come on back and we can take it from there.

Or you can appreciate the advice we’re giving, and look a little further. The steps above make the booth work, but it’s not just about working, it’s about making it work well. So what else do you need?

A light, for the booth. Preferrably a continuous light, because having a light for flash is a bit much and complicated for an android build. And, you could just use a flashlight with duct tape. That’s the “college” route where you try to get people nak-nevermind.

A stand, because you don’t want to put the table on the ground. Don’t be a savage. A stand is cheap and you have to buy one. So, here’s a few suggestions.

A printer? You probably don’t need one at this stage, but we can recommend one in the printer section.
